Personal Infrastructure & Systems Architecture

A living learning project focused on secure networking, storage strategy, service reliability, and documentation practices. Public notes will be added selectively without exposing sensitive configuration details.

  • Homelab: self-hosted services & networking
  • Focus: architecture tradeoffs, failure modes, backups
  • Principle: documentation as an operational asset

How I document projects

When work can't be shared in full, I focus on describing context, decisions, tradeoffs, and lessons learned rather than proprietary details. Projects evolve over time; this page is intentionally designed to grow.

Documentation isn't just a record — it's how systems survive leadership transitions, how decisions stay accountable, and how teams build on prior work rather than reinventing it.

Documentation principles
  • Context before conclusions
  • Decisions over deliverables
  • Tradeoffs, not just outcomes
  • Written for future readers, not present authors
  • Continuity as a feature, not an afterthought
