I'm a filmmaker, writer, photographer, and former transportation planner based in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

For more than a decade, I worked in public infrastructure, helping communities understand places through maps, data, and long-range planning. That experience shaped the way I see the world. It taught me to pay attention—not just to roads and neighborhoods, but to the stories, memories, and people that give places their meaning.

Today, I explore those ideas through documentary films, essays, photography, and the occasional map. I'm drawn to ordinary places, overlooked details, and questions that don't always have clear answers.

When I'm not behind a camera or writing a new Field Note, you'll usually find me reading, renovating an old boat, walking with a camera, or spending time with my wife and our family.

This website isn't a portfolio as much as it is a field notebook—a place to collect observations, document projects, and share the work that grows out of curiosity.
